Sri Maha Vishnu Puja Procedure (Step-by-Step)
1. సన్నాహాలు | Preparation
Telugu:
స్నానం చేసి శుభ్రంగా ఉండాలి. పూజా స్థలాన్ని శుభ్రపరచి, విష్ణు విగ్రహం లేదా చిత్రం ఎరుపు/పసుపు వస్త్రంపై ఉంచాలి. పుష్పాలు, తులసి దళాలు, పళ్ళు, నైవేద్యం, దీపం, ధూపం సిద్ధం చేయాలి.
English:
Take a bath and wear clean clothes. Clean the puja space. Place a picture or idol of Lord Vishnu on a red/yellow cloth. Keep all items ready: flowers, tulasi leaves, fruits, naivedyam, lamp, incense, etc.
2. ధ్యానం | Dhyana (Meditation)
Telugu:
శాంతంగా కూర్చొని ఈ శ్లోకంతో ధ్యానం చేయండి:
“శాంతాకారం భుజగశయనం పద్మనాభం సురేశం,
విశ్వాధారం గగనసదృశం మేఘవర్ణం శుభాంగం…”
English:
Sit calmly and meditate on Lord Vishnu with the following verse:
“Shantakaram Bhujaga-shayanam Padmanabham Suresham,
Vishwadharam Gagana-sadrisham Megha-varnam Shubhangam…”
3. ఆవాహనము | Aavahanam (Invocation)
Telugu:
“శ్రీ మహావిష్ణవే నమః, ఆవాహయామి” అని పలకడం ద్వారా భగవంతుని ఆహ్వానించండి.
English:
Invoke Lord Vishnu by chanting:
“Sri Maha Vishnave Namah, Aavahayami”
4. పాద్యము, ఆచమనీయం, అర్ఘ్యం | Padya, Achamaniyam, Arghya
Telugu:
భగవంతుని పాదాలకు నీటిని సమర్పించండి (పాద్యము), త్రాగుటకు నీరు ఇవ్వండి (ఆచమనీయం), చేతులు కడుకుటకు నీరు సమర్పించండి (అర్ఘ్యం).
English:
Offer water to wash His feet (Padya), to sip (Achamaniyam), and to wash hands (Arghya).
5. పుష్పార్చన | Pushpa Archana (Offering Flowers)
Telugu:
తులసి దళాలు మరియు పుష్పాలతో విష్ణు సహస్రనామం లేదా అష్టోత్తర నామావళితో పూజించండి.
English:
Offer tulasi and flowers to the deity while chanting Vishnu Sahasranama or Ashtothram Namavali.
6. ధూపం & దీపం | Dhoopam & Deepam
Telugu:
ధూపాన్ని వెలిగించి ధూపం సమర్పించండి – “ధూపం ఆఘ్రాపయామి”
దీపాన్ని వెలిగించి చూపించండి – “దీపం దర్శయామి”
English:
Offer incense – “Dhoopam Aghrapayami”
Show the lit lamp – “Deepam Darshayami”
7. నైవేద్యం | Naivedyam (Food Offering)
Telugu:
తయారు చేసిన ప్రసాదాన్ని భగవంతునికి సమర్పించండి – “నైవేద్యం నివేదయామి”. తులసి దళం తప్పక వేయండి.
English:
Offer the prepared food – “Naivedyam Nivedayami”. Always place tulasi leaf on the food.
8. హారతి | Aarti
Telugu:
శంఖ, చక్రం, గదా, పద్మధారి భగవంతుడికి హారతి ఇవ్వండి.
“ఓం జయ జగదీశ హరే…” పాట పాడుతూ హారతి ఇవ్వండి.
English:
Perform Aarti to Lord Vishnu holding the conch, discus, mace, and lotus.
Sing “Om Jai Jagdish Hare…” while waving the camphor light.
9. ప్రదక్షిణం & నమస్కారం | Pradakshina & Namaskaram
Telugu:
విగ్రహం చుట్టూ 3 సార్లు ప్రదక్షిణలు చేసి నమస్కరించండి.
English:
Do 3 clockwise circumambulations (pradakshinas) and bow in reverence.
10. మంత్రపుష్పం & ముగింపు | Mantrapushpam & Conclusion
Telugu:
“ఓం తత్ సత్ బ్రహ్మార్పణమస్తు” అని మంత్రపుష్పం సమర్పించి పూజ ముగించండి.
English:
Offer final flower chanting: “Om Tat Sat Brahmarpanamastu” and conclude the puja.
